Hey yall
A little update so far…
So basically school’s over and its been real but most of all really hectic. So I came home to find out that some of my close family members who live close-by were getting their homes foreclosed and therefore had to find a place to stay at, at least temporarily. Just to keep things personal, these people have seen me grow up/ helped raised the kids ever since I was born so them staying here is way more than just an obligation/favor. Meaning I really don’t mind at all, however now our household is a total ofseven people and three dogslol which is kind of crazy for a 3 bedroom house. So we’ve remodeled our whole garage into a back house, in a matter of weeks. I’m really thankful and blessed that we are able to accommodate something for them, more conveniently than I thought. However I understand that the dynamics are definitely going to be changing in this house and there comes both the good and bad in having additional people living in your house. Hopefully we can cooperate and keep looking up.
anywhos… I finished Jamie Eason’s 12 week live fit challenge! wooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooooo ^__^ v
told yall I’d do it! It was tough to stick to but it was all definitely worth it in the end. I mean, not only did I see my body making incredible changes/ lose weight/ tone-up… I gained muscle and knowledge about clean-eating, and knowing my weaknesses and strengths in terms of physical and mental willpower to keep pushing on week after week.
I realized patience and consistency is key when you want to see the fruits of your labor lol. And you know what? Even though you feel/look great it all doesn’t matter unless you have a strong, healthy passion or happiness in achieving a mental goal. I feel like I might have lacked a balance in that during the last phase of this workout… I was feeling burnt out from schools/finals/moving out of my apt on top of my determination to finish this program that it almost became and obligation. And honestly, I think my biggest lesson was to keep yourself in check/ balance mentally before setting goals to finish…
Working out and pulling all-nighters to study has reflected on my grades poorly this quarter. Not TOO BAD, (I passed all my classes) but I could have definitely done better if I took a rest day and had more hours to sleep.
So here I am, now finally home where I finished the last 2 weeks of livefit. I had to modify it though, because I have no access to a gym at the moment. I admit, being home I finally got to kick off my shoes and just couch potato it for a little. I felt like I “cheated” myself when I started getting back into my old lazy habits again. Feeling lazy to eat superduper clean, taking it easy…(esp. cuz I was on that T.O.M) Although, this was my firstrest weekin 3 months! I felt bloated like crazy once I started chilling and being more lenient with working out/eating whatever.
Now I’m back and I’m on day 2 of gsp’s rushfit for now. Its an 8 week MMA style full body conditioning program. Supposedly its comparable to insanity and p90x…we’ll see. Day 1 kinda made me nauseated not gonna lie, but it was fun and relieving to put some variety back into working out. Erik Owens seems like he knows what he’s doing and GSP really tries to give some constructive input throughout the videos. I really like it so far!
And now you guys are probably like where the damn after pictures at?? haha don’t worry! I promise you guys some pics with definite results. I just don’t have a functioning camera right now and things are really hectic with moving my stuff in and cleaning other junk out that I haven’t had the time to find a camera to take a legit picture…I’ll try to by the end of this week or sometime next?!
